Friday 23st December Blackburn Hall, Rothwell Christmas performace for television programme 'Text Santa'. Parts of the performance was broadcast nationally on Christmas Eve 2011, ITV1. The evening featured entertainment from singer Russel Watson, actor Chris Chittell, actress Kym Marsh, and Chef Brian Turner. Saturday 17th December New Vic Theatre - Newcastle-under-lyme Fron MVC annual christmas concert. The final concert of the year for the Fron Male Voice Choir. Full of classic songs, sing-along Christmas music, and a few surprise items. Jason provided accompanyment to the choir, and also some musical accompaniment to a monologue performed by the choir chairman David Jones. Wednesday 14th December Liverpool Philharmonic Hall - Liverpool Concert featuring Tenor Alfie Boe, and the Fron Male Voice choir.
Saturday 10th December St Francis Church, Linden Road, Bournville - Birmingham Concert with the Fron Male Voice choir with all profits going to Birmingham Children's Hospital. Saturday 19th November William Aston Hall - Wrexham '2011 tour' concert with the Fron Male Voice Choir Wednesday 16th November Manx Society Concert - Bebington Evening of piano music and choral classics with the Capriccio Singers. Liverpool Anglican Cathedral - Liverpool Performance of sacred music at the Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool with the Capriccio Singers Chamber Choir.
Elanor Rathbone Theatre - University of Liverpool Jason performed al recital with Cellist Melanie Jones at the University of Liverpool as part of their lunchtime recital series at the Eleanor Rathbone Theatre.
Saturday 22nd October Floral Pavillion - New Brighton First Concert with the Fron Male Voice Choir of their annual tour. Friday 21nd October Bury Parish Church-Bury Lunchtime recital with Celllist Melanie Jones, containing a programme of Beethoven, Faure and Saint-Saens. Saturday 15th October De Montford Hall - Leicester Saturday 29th September St Oswald's Church - Oswestry.
Saturday 24th September Yeadon Town Hall - Yeadon. Performance with the Fron Male Voice Choir and Soprano Alexandra Lowe. At Yeadon Town Hall, West Yorkshire
Wednesday 24th August Floral Pavillion - New Brighton Performance with Cellist Melanie Jones in the Panoramic plaza lounge in the New Brighton Floral Pavillion. The programme featured Beethovens Cello sonata in G minor Op.5 no 2, with other music by Faure, Copland, Kern and Gershwin. Melling Tithebarn Arts Association - Tithebarn Lane, Melling. Recital with Kathryn Rudge (Mezzo-Soprano). Jason will perform piano works by Schubert, Chopin, and Horowitz. He will also be accompanying Kathryn in a programme of Operatic arias, Spanish American, and English song, and songs from the shows. Website: www.mellingtithebarn.org.uk
Friday 17th June Llay Royal British Legion Fron Male Voice choir's annual charity concert. A wonderful atmosphere and large lively audience where present as the Fron Male voice choir, directed by Owen Roberts performed a programme of famous male voice choir works, songs from the shows, music arranged by the choir, and popular songs. Several items where getting there Fron premier at this performance. All funds raised went to various local charities. Sunday 12th June Chirk Castle Outdoor concert in the Chirck Castle gardens with the Fron Male Voice Choir and soloists Stuart and David Kempster. Saturday 14th May Shrewsbury - St Chads Church Concert with the Fron Male voice choir begins at 6pm for "Fresh Start - New Beginnings". Sunday 15th May Birkenhead - Birkenhead Priory Jason performed at a special service of remembrance celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion at Birkenhead Priory. The service was also held to raise funds for the British heart foundation.
O'Halloran Hall, St. Mary's College - Crosby Jason performed as guest pianist at an evening of music performed by members of the ‘Una voce’ opera company. He featured as soloist performing a virtuoso piece by Horowitz and also accompanist to Mezzo-Soprano Kathryn Rudge. Monday 18th April Acrefair - Flexsis club. Performance as accompanist for the Fron male voice choir and also featuring Jason as soloist at the piano. Sunday 17th April Newcastle-under-Lyme - New Vic Theatre Matinee performance from the Fron male voice choir featuring a collection of Male Voice choir classics with a wonderful Piano in the unique setting of the New Vic Theatre - Newcastle-under-Lyme. Saturday 12th March 2011 Lancaster Town Hall - The Ashton Hall Concert featuring the Fron Male Voice Choir. A wonderful atmosphere, good piano, and excellent acoustic in Lancaster's Town Hall made this a very enjoyable and lively performance.
Saturday 5th March 2011 Wrexham - William Aston Hall Jason will be accompanying the Froncysyllte Male voice choir, in Wrexhams William Aston Hall. The proceeds from this concert went to the National Eisteddfod of Wales to be held in Wrexham between the 31st of July and the 7th of August 2011. Saturday 19th February 2011 Frodsham - Wedding Fayre Jason providing entertainment along with the Capriccio Singers and violinist Daniel Axworthy at Frodsham's Wedding Fayre in the beautiful setting of St Laurence Church, Frodsham, Cheshire. Saturday 12th February 2011 Chichester - Celtic Footprint festival Jason accompanied the Froncysyllte Male voice choir in a performance of some of the greatest music in the male choir repertoire. This concerts formed part of the Celtic footprint festival and took place at The Chichester Festival Hall. Saturday 5th February 2011 Wrexham - William Aston Hall New Brighton - Floral Pavilion This lunchtime recital took place in the beautiful Floral Pavilion plaza, overlooking the Mersey estuary, and the Irish sea in front of a wonderful audience. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the performance.
20th & 21st December 2010 Liverpool - St George's Hall Jason performed with the Capriccio singer's chamber choir. The 'great-great-grandson!' of Charles Dickens was in attendance to recite 'A Christmas carol' at Liverpool's spectacular St George's Hall - the venue at which the work was first performed by his ancestor. Friday 10th December 2010 Cheshire - Tatton Park Jason and the Froncysyllte male voice choir performed in the spectacular surroundings of the Victorian mansion at Tatton Park. A collection of classical, popular and Christmas music was featured and the audience were provided with a tour of the property and Christmas refreshments. Saturday 4th December 2010 New Brighton - Floral Pavilion This concert featured the Froncysyllte male voice choir, and Welsh tenor Aled Wyn Davies accompanied by Jason; held at the Floral Pavilion at New Brighton. The programme consisted of classic Welsh pieces, favorites from the male voice choir repertoire and a few items to prepare the audience for Christmas! Saturday 20th November 2010 Frodsham - St Lawrence Church An evening of musical entertainment featuring Jason performing a piece of his own composition, the Capriccio singers chamber choir, and various young vocal groups. This performance formed part of an annual musical weekend at St Lawrence, Frodsham. Saturday 13th November 2010 Wrexham - William Aston Hall Concert featuring Jason in his role as accompanist for the Froncysyllte male voice choir, with guest soloist 'Irish Classical Crossover singer' - Margaret Keys. Saturday 23rd October 2010 Liverpool - St George's Hall Gala concert featuring Formby Brass Band, and soloists; Daniel Shelvey, Nick Hardy. Saturday 16th October 2010 New Brighton - Wallasey Soroptimist Jason performed Chopin and provided accompaniment for the Capriccio Singers at the Wallasey Soroptimists annual celebration evening. Friday 15th October 2010 Bromborough - St Barnabas church Jason performed solo piano repertoire of Chopin, Horowitz, and a new Ellis composition! Jason also accompanied operatic arias and songs performed by mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge and tenor Nick Hardy the concert also included spectacular performances from jazz pianist, Alan Derrick. This event marked Jason's second performance at the annual concert held at St Barnabas church, Bromborough. Friday 1st October 2010 Blackburn Rover Premier Suite - NODA Northwest Awards evening. Jason and mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge performed as special guests during the NODA North West awards evening. The performance was followed by the presentation of NODA awards - Congratulations to all of the award winners! Saturday 18th September 2010 Birkenhead Park - Transport Festival An outdoor concert was held at Birkenhead Park to celebrate the Transport Festival. Jason and the Capriccio singers performed a wide variety of choir favourites; the programme included a selection of favourite choir pieces from classical and musical theatre repertoire. |
